Gold doré vs refined bars — what buyers pay for

Not all gold is priced the same. Fineness, form and refining drive your final quote.

Share

Buyers often ask for '999.9 bars' but receive offers for doré or alluvial dust at very different economics. Understanding the forms prevents overpaying — or falling for a below-spot scam.

Alluvial dust & nuggets (~88–92%)

Raw concentrate from artisanal sites. Priced below spot, adjusted for fineness, moisture and refining cost. Every lot must be assayed on site — we do this before any quote is confirmed in writing.

Doré & cast bars

Poured to your requested weight with assay documentation. Closer to spot than raw dust, still adjusted for exact fineness.

Refined bars 995–999.9

Nearest to London spot. Suitable for refinery buyers who need deliverable fineness. COOP-CA ARTEL №1 quotes at the live rate shown on this site — never an arbitrary 'special' discount.
